Lehrpreis "Innovative Didaktik" 2023

Im Rahmen des DIES academicus hat das Studierendenparlament der TH Rosenheim die besten Lehrenden mit dem Lehrpreis 2023 ausgezeichnet. Dieser wurde in fünf Kategorien verliehen, um exzellente Lehrveranstaltungen an der Hochschule zu würdigen und sichtbar zu machen. Dabei stand die Einschätzung der Qualität aus Sicht der Studierenden im Mittelpunkt.

Ausgewertet wurden die Nominierungen von einer studentischen Jury aus allen Fachschaften, die zu folgendem Ergebnis kam:

• Kategorie „Vorlesungen“: Prof. Dr. Johann Pravida, Fakultät für Holztechnik und Bau
• Kategorie „Seminaristischer Unterricht“: Prof. Dr. Holly Ott, Fakultät für Holztechnik und Bau
• Kategorie „Innovative Didaktik“: Prof. Dr. Michael Helbig, Fakultät für Angewandte Natur- und Geisteswissenschaften
• Kategorie „Lehrbeauftragte“: M. Sc. Franziska Leimeister-Kunst
• Kategorie „Tutoren“: Jeanne Graf

Watch YouTube videos with higher speed

If you watch many tutorials on YouTube, sometimes the speaker talks toooo slooowww. You can speed up the video to 1.5x or 2x.

1. You have to opt-in for the HTML5 player on YouTube: LogIn to your Account and go to

There you can select to use the HTML5 player whenever possible.

2. When watching a video you can change the speed:
settings (German: Einstellungen) > speed (German: Geschwindigkeit)

MOOC: Scala and Principles of Reactive Programming

Free Web and Smart Phone Clicker System: Socrative

Socrative is an easy way of using student response devices ("clickers") as a way to engage students in large lecture classes (buzz word "Peer Instruction" on wikipedia, German HD-MINT)

How to get started?

• Teachers log in at t.socrative.com or by launching your app (Android, iOS).
• Students participate via m.socrative.com or by launching their app (Android, iOS). They do not register for accounts, instead simply enter a unique classroom number to answer questions (anonymous!)
